theartVIEw The Forberg Collection was founded by Kurt Forberg in the 1959s and presented to the Albertina in 2007 by Mathias and Eva Forberg on a permanent loan basis. Comprising sculptures, paintings and works on paper in the area of Classical Modernism the exhibition "Nuances - the Forberg Collection" contains works by Picasso, Braque and Gris to members of the "Blauer Reiter" like Kandinsky, Muenther, Macke and Jawlensky or "Brücke" like Kirchner, Pechstein, Müller and Schlemmer.
